Privacy Policy

Argora is operated by Honeycomb Robotics, Inc.; this policy describes how Argora collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Argora suite — the applications and services available under argora.net (the “Services”). It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

We collect these kinds of information:

• Account information — your name, email address, organization membership, and authentication records, managed through Argora ID.
• Workspace content — the mail, files, documents, messages, tasks, records, and signatures your team creates or stores in the Services. This content belongs to you.
• Operational data — logs, device and browser metadata, IP addresses, and usage events needed to secure and operate the platform (for example sign-in history and e-signature audit trails).
• Financial account data — if your organization connects a bank or card account in Argora Books, we receive account details (institution, account name and type, balances) and transaction history for the accounts you choose to connect. See “Financial account connections” below.
• Payments information — if your organization uses Argora Payments, we receive from Stripe your business’s name and structure, the names, email addresses and roles of the people on its payments account, whether the account is verified and can take payments and receive payouts, and its payments, refunds, payouts and disputes. We also keep a record of who accepted the Argora Payments Terms, when, and from which IP address and browser. We never receive Social Security numbers, dates of birth, ID images or full bank account numbers. See “Argora Payments” below.

We use information only to provide, secure, and improve the Services: authenticating you, syncing your content across the suite, sending notifications you asked for, preventing abuse, and diagnosing problems. We do not sell personal data or workspace content, we do not use your content for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine learning models.

• Your organization — workspace owners and administrators control membership and can access data within their workspace.
• Platform operators — Argora staff access customer data only when necessary to operate or support the platform, under audit.
• Recipients you choose — for example, people you email, share files with, or send documents to for signature.

We never give third parties access to your content for their own purposes. The one exception is Stripe, which processes Argora Payments: it also uses payment and identity data for its own fraud-prevention, compliance and legal duties (see “Argora Payments” below).

Argora Books lets your organization connect bank and card accounts using Plaid. When you link an account, you authenticate directly with your financial institution through Plaid — we never see or store your banking credentials. Plaid then provides us the account and transaction data for the accounts you selected, which we use solely to power your organization’s own bookkeeping: the bank feed, transaction categorization, matching against invoices and bills, and bank reconciliation. We do not sell this data, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or use it for advertising or credit decisions.

You can disconnect a linked account at any time from Argora Books, after which we stop receiving new data for it; imported transactions remain part of your organization’s accounting records until you delete them. Plaid’s handling of your information is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy, and you can review or revoke Plaid connections in Plaid Portal.

Argora Payments lets a business take card, Tap to Pay on iPhone and bank (ACH) payments in Argora Commerce and Argora Books. Payments are processed by Stripe, on a Stripe account Argora sets up for the business; the Argora Payments Terms apply.

To set up Argora Payments, a business gives Stripe details about itself and the people who own or control it, such as dates of birth, tax and identity numbers, ID documents and bank accounts. Stripe collects these directly, on screens shown inside Argora, and uses them for identity checks, fraud prevention and its own legal duties. Stripe processes the business’s customers’ card and bank details for the business, and also for its own fraud-prevention and legal purposes. When you provide personal data in connection with Argora Payments, Stripe receives that personal data and processes it in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

For the customer and order data a business keeps in Argora, Argora acts as that business’s service provider. If you buy from or pay a business that uses Argora Payments, that business’s own privacy notice covers the payment information it collects from you; contact the business about it.

Organizations on the suite can send and receive SMS through Argora Voice. If you provide your mobile number to us or to an organization using the Services, it is used only for the conversational and service messages you asked for. No mobile information or SMS opt-in data is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out at any time.

The Services run on infrastructure hosted with Amazon Web Services in the United States. We use service providers (our subprocessors) for:

• Hosting, storage, backups, and email delivery
• Telephony and text messaging
• Payment processing (Argora Payments, Argora subscriptions and postage)
• Bank and card account connections
• Shipping rates, labels, and tracking
• Address lookup for delivery areas

They process data on our behalf, only to provide the Services and under their own security and privacy commitments. Some, such as Stripe for Argora Payments and Plaid, also use it for their own fraud-prevention and legal obligations, as independent controllers, as the Subprocessors page notes for each. The current list of subprocessors, with what each one does, where it processes data, and which Argora products use it, is on our Subprocessors page. That page also covers services that see only limited technical data, and services your organization connects itself.

All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Access to production systems is restricted to platform operators, tenant data is isolated per organization, and sessions can be revoked suite-wide through Argora ID single logout. During the private beta we are continuing to harden the platform; report security concerns to the contact below.

We keep your data for as long as your organization uses the Services. Administrators can export workspace data. When an organization’s access ends, its data is made available for export for a reasonable period and then deleted in the ordinary course of operations. Some records (such as e-signature audit trails) may be retained longer where the law or the signed documents’ validity requires it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Requests can go to your organization’s administrator or directly to us at the address below, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this policy as the Services evolve. Material changes will be announced to organization administrators before they take effect.
